The occasion was to celebrate all the members and sponsors efforts in successfully transforming part of a playing field into a premier Petanque Terrain in Cornwall. 

The day dawned grey and overcast with heavy rain. This did not hamper our efforts to present the Terrain in good condition with bunting and a surrounding beautiful garden. 

Suitable refreshments were provided prior to the main event, enjoyed by all as seen in the attached pictures. 

The Golden Boule plinth was officially unveiled by Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Jane Hartley. She also threw the Gold Boule onto the piste, which shall be used as a game trophy in subsequent years. 

The President and Vice President of Petanque England (Colin Roper & Tom Wilson) brilliantly hosted an afternoon of advice on technique and tips, to all, whilst games were undertaken. 

In the evening Tregony Social club provided the means for a fantastic BBQ, despite the weather, and a band inside the refurbished clubhouse.
