5 no teams (doubles) from each club played 4 matches each – 20 no games overall. We had 3 games in the morning, starting at 11am with 45 minute timed games.

Lunch was in the clubhouse – thanks to “Our Phil” jacket spuds, baguettes, pasties available (and enjoyed).

The final game occurred at 2.15 pm.

The day was cool/grey – but we stayed dry.

Tregony had the initial advantage in knowing their piste (which is not flat) and match 1 we dominated. Plymouth had spirited efforts in matches 2,3 and 4 – and won match 5 (3 to 2).

Overall, it was 13 wins to Tregony and 7 to Plymouth.

The overall point difference over the 20 games was only +33 in favour of Tregony – this reflects the competitive nature of most of the games with a result by only 1 or 2 points.

Our thanks to the Plymouth Team for travelling to be with us, we had a most enjoyable day. It will be with interest that we experience their new terrain next year (and hope that the current problems are resolved asap).
