The day dawned very wet and overcast with a “weather warning” in place for the area. There was doubt on playing by some. Others noted that games are only cancelled if the cochonnet starts floating and one of our playing officers (Vicki ) did have an weather app which indicated that we would not receive biblical rain fall. Therefore, the competition did proceed.

18 no players took part in mixed teams of individual abilities and experience.

( Big thanks to Andy Rose who filled a space which gave us 6 teams, and he had to play left handed).

We had 3 games (it did stay dry). No team won all their 3 matches, and no team lost all 3 either.

It came down to a point difference count back with result being: -

Winners - Sue and Ray Smith, Sue Cole (her 1st competition).

Runners Up – Pippa Boardman, Drew Jarvis, Adrian Clemens (his 1st Competition)

For lunch, ably prepared by Phil, we enjoyed a mild curry in the clubhouse and then some chocolates from a box that Pippa had.
