Truro u3a vs Tregony fun day

Friendly Match with Truro U3a Sunday March 9th

The weather on the day was kind to us and not too cold – at last an improvement on what has seemed a long winter. This was our 4th Match with Truro – and they were 1 up on results!. Truro had 10 no players, Tregony 13 no.

Our playing officer ( Nicky) arranged a melee with 5 sets of doubles from Truro, 2 sets of doubles and 3 sets of triples from Tregony. All matches were played on 3 separate Pistes. As the weather was fairly good we manged to play all 3 matches, per teams, prior to lunch.

Tregony prevailed on our home terrain, no doubt helped by the local knowledge of how the boules would behave relative to the slope.!. It is also noted that the separate pistes have evolved in that they vary from each other.

Lunch was provided by the Social Club, our thanks to them.

We are looking forward to the next friendly match with Truro on the 28th September, on their home patch ( due to be remodelled by the Council, when is a bit fluid though). Will home advantage count?.
